So when I heard that Jennifer McGuire was co-hosting an on-line camp (Summer Card Camp 2011) for a month I jumped at the chance!!!

Got Crabs??

I love this new little crab from Just Some Lines! You can purchase it as a set of 4 for $2.50 ... see it HERE!

I printed this little fellow on sand colored cardstock, red cardstock, white cardstock, and blue card stock ... I then cut out the red pieces and the white eyes. I ripped the sand layer and layered it on the blue. Then I pop dotted the crab body and eyes ... I love the way this turned out! ... See the dimension below ...

Happy Father's Day!

Super Dad

Happy father's day to all the dad's out there ... not that I think a lot of dad's visit my blog (but I do think my dad does occasionally visit!)

I made this card for my Super Husband. I used the Super Dad image from Sweet and Sassy. I pop-dotted the sheild and then also added black bling.

As some of you may or may not know about 8 years ago when we moved and I took a new job my husband agreed to be the primary care giver for my son. This has not been easy as we have struggled through ups and downs, stress, and illness in our son. My husband has been there to run errands for me, clean house, do dishes, do laundry, etc. I am grateful every day for this situation as I work 40-60 hours out of the house every week and sometimes bring work home.

Thanks so much Tony for being such a wonderful Dad and Husband!

Summertime Sunshine

I used the new Digi Floaty Boy for my card. I colored him with my copics and tore tan and blue paper for a sandy beach and water. I added a sentiment from TAC and cloud die cuts. I pop-dotted him in the forefront of the card.

Of course I just HAD to add glossy accents to his goggles!

Dotty Challenge

Today over on Just Some Lines, we are having another Saturday challenge.

It is a "dotty challenge" ... I guess you could look at this many ways. I took it to be a challenge to use polka dotted paper. I paper-pieced Big Hat Girls 1 and colored her with my copics. I dotted the card with my favorite bling. The sentiment is by TAC.

Printing and Coloring Digitals on Kraft

We all are so used to printing our digital images on white cardstock ... well why not mix that up a bit??? I tried printing this image out on kraft cardstock and then colored with my colored pencils.

The color really seems to pop on the kraft! I just love this look!

The image that I used is Emo Sophie Stands.

Thinking of You

I used an older image from Just Some Lines called Emo Paula Stands. Isn't she so sweet and innocent??? I paired her up with one of my new Sizzix dies called Scallop Lace and my new Sizzix flower dies. I used a greenery punch from Martha Stewart to add some greenery.

I colored her with my copics and sponged the sky background. I added a sentiment and viola ... I love it!

Garden Scene

Thank You!

I love this garden corner that Jehanne just created for Just Some Lines ... I took it and copied it and flipped it prior to printing it out. It makes such a cute garden scene!

I used my copics and added a sentiment from TAC. Just a hint ... it's easier to color in all of these hard and small areas if you take both caps off the 2 ends of the markers.

This image from Just Some Lines is called Big Hat Girls 3. I just love her and I thought greens would be the perfect color for this card.

Sponging A Sky

Hello There!! ....

It's me Chelsea here at Just Some Lines ... today I am going to share with you how to sponge in a sky scene for your card/project.

First I took some post-it notes and used my new Amuse cloud dies to die cut out some clouds. You can go through 2-3 post-it notes at the same time with these dies.

After you cut these out separate them into the separate layers.

Place another post-it note over the main image - trimming to match the image.

Arrange the clouds as to how you want them.

Sponge the area with ink (I like Palette Reflection Blue) until you have the coverage and color that you desire.

Remove the post-it notes and viola! A sponged sky!

Here is my finished card once again ... I used the image Big Hat Girls 2 and colored her with my copics ... the soft sky is just wonderful with this image. I added a sentiment (Tag Tidbits) from TAC.

ENJOY!
